The House

A Barbershop the Way Your Grandfather Knew It

Iron & Oak opened in a 1908 brick storefront that once housed a saddle maker. We kept the tin ceiling, refinished the white-oak floors by hand, and bolted down five restored 1940s Koken chairs.

What we sell is time well spent: a cut that's actually considered, a shave finished with a cold towel and bay rum, and conversation if you want it — quiet if you don't.

“Every man deserves forty-five minutes a month where nobody needs anything from him.”
— Walt Brennan, founder

From the Regulars

★★★★★
Best straight-razor shave I've had outside of Naples. Walt took his time, talked me through every pass, and the bay rum finish was the cherry on top. I've been coming monthly for six years.

Marcus gave me the cleanest skin fade I've ever had. Booked online in a minute, in and out on time, and they actually remembered how I like my part the second visit.

Brought my whole wedding party in for the Full Oak the morning of. Whiskey, hot towels, great music – the guys still talk about it. Theo got my beard looking photo-ready.
